A truly phenomenal sight when you visit Beijing. You will want to photograph it as much as you can. You must see The Forbidden City, which was a residence for the Ming and Qing Dynasty with 9,000 rooms and 70 structures. It is awesome just to see the size of this building, let alone all the artefacts that are housed in it. There is a moat around it and it’s surrounded by very high walls.

Please take some time to visit the Lama Temple. It means the Palace of Peace and Harmony and see the collection of Buddhist art it houses. Then travel along a stream and see the beautiful waterfalls of the Silver Fox Cave. The cave is its own little natural museum which you will find truly captivating. Then you will want to walk along the 17 arch bridge of The Summer Palace to see the beautiful grounds and gardens.

At the Temple of Heaven hear the echo of a whisper along the corridor. Why don’t you also visit the Beijing Planetarium and the Beijing Aquarium for stargazing and sharing some time with the Aquatic life forms. You will be glad that you did. It is time well spent at these two places.

Qin Dynasty (221-207BC) much of the Great Wall was linked together and it runs for 5,000 kilometers and offers spectacular views along steep cliffs. This is a man made wall and it is truly remarkable to see if first hand. A must see on everyone’s list that visits Beijing, China.

The Forbidden City is also known as the Former Palace. There are 9,000 rooms and 70 structures to this immense building. With a most and surrounded by a high wall this was a residence to the Ming and Qing Dynasty. It also has a wonderful royal garden in the back.

The Lama Temple was built in 1694 and means (Palace of Peace and Harmony). It has five large halls and courtyards with delicate archways. There is an abundance of Buddhist art throughout and other Tibetan-style murals. It was the residence of Prince Yin Zhen, a son of Emperor Kang Xi of the Qing Dynasty.

Tiananmen Square is surrounded by buildings including Tiananmen Gate, The Forbidden City, the Great Hall of the People, The Monument of the People's Heroes and the Mao Zedong Mausoleum. Bei Hai Park is very calming and peaceful at any time of the day and you can rent paddle boats on the river. It was built for recreation by the emperors of post-Kublai Khan dynasties. Just relax and take a few moments to visit at any time of the year it is absolutely beautiful.

At the Beijing Planetarium you can star gaze which is not always possible in the rest of the city. It is very relaxing at the end of the day. So take your time and enjoy yourself. There are different shows every month and you’ll enjoy just sitting and staring into the artificial night sky.

The Temple of Heaven was built between 1406 and 1420s where the emperors of Qing and Mind Dynasty prayed. They prayed for good harvests and good rains to come and it is said that the echo can be heard all along the hallways of just a whisper of a voice.

During the Qing Dynasty The Summer Palace was the summer residence. There is a 17 arch bridge that offers fantastic views of the home and the grounds with beautiful gardens. There is also a long corridor filled with beautiful paintings. An absolutely fantastic day will be spent there in its peacefulness.

At Beijing Aquarium see sharks, a man-made rain forest and dolphin shows to entertain everyone in your group. It is a great afternoon of sightseeing and learning all about the aquatic life. Nice time for a visit especially if you like fish and dolphins and you can take pictures.

Silver Fox Cave

The Silver Fox Cave has unusual stone flowers and formations. You will see waterfalls as you ride along in a boat below ground level. All through the cave you will see interesting artefacts, it has its own built in museum. It is warm in the winter and cold in the summer inside the cave so dress accordingly.
