Internet Cafe - There are now many internet
cafes open in the Beijing area. In 2002, a fire in
one of the café’s killed 24 people so
a lot of them were closed down for quite a long time.
In fact, all of them in the area were closed for a
short period of time. None of the unlicensed ones
were permitted to reopen due to the tragedy. Now some
have reopened and there is no smoking or under aged
drinkers permitted in them. Stricter regulations have
been provided to protect everyone. So rest assured
you can stay online in Beijing if you need to. There
are a few located around the city area for your convenience.
Also, check with your Beijing
, they may have a hook up line for your
lap top if you have it with you. Whether for business
or pleasure you can still access the internet while
you are away on your trip. Check for rates at the hotels
before using because sometimes there are extra charges.
You need to know that before you access the online information.
A lot of the hostels and bed and breakfasts’ in
the area include the internet access as part of the
room fee. That is good to know before you even leave
on your trip so check with them.
