Museums - You will definitely want to visit
the Lama Temple, which was built in 1694 for Prince
Yin Zhen and was used as an Imperial Palace. It has
an abundance of Buddhist art and fantastic interior
archways. Your next stop should be to visit the Beijing
Planetarium and enjoy and evening of stargazing
in the Chinese area, which isn’t always possible
except within the planetarium.
For a very interesting visit to an unusual museum
you should take the time to visit in the Beijing
Big Bell Museum for an afternoon of learning
about bells. In its six halls you will see a collection
of over 600 bells, some are antiques and some are
not. Named for its giant bell inside it is located
in a Buddhist temple that was built in 1733.
The Temple of Cloud Dwelling
is an ancient temple that has ancient pagodas and stone
and paper Buddhists, which are considered the Three
Treasures of Buddhism in China. Another fine choice
is The Minority Cultural Palace changes exhibits frequently.

The Red Gate Gallery is a 15th Century
Watchtower that has modern Chinese Art within its
fine interior. Exhibits change monthly and it has
become known for showcasing new Chinese artists and
introducing them to the world. A fine museum filled
with wonderful works of art.
