It is the oldest and most famous Peking Duck restaurant in Beijing. For a most romantic evening out with your special someone you may wish to dine at the CourtYard Restaurant. Conde Nast magazine rated it one of the top 50 restaurants in the entire world and it lives up to this honor.

When you are ready to kick up your heels and dance the night away try The Den. Looks like an old Chinese opium den with live music and plays 1980’s disco music well into the night. If you like Blues music you will want to try The Big Easy, which has blues playing every night after 9 and a great menu too.

These two cafes in Beijing are well worth a visit. The Minders Café for the younger group has live music every weekend specializing in alternative sounds and interior. The Here and Now Café is really an art gallery turned bar with live music. It is a fantastic night out to see the people and the place.

The menu specializes in nouveau fusion cooking, there is an excellent atmosphere and service. It is a perfect place for a romantic evening out on the town.

At The Big Easy from 9pm on into the night you can listen to some excellent Blues music. There is a fantastic menu for Cajun cooking and fantastic cocktails. The service is good and the seating choices of second floor dining and a balcony area also. It is a great choice for a night out.

The Den

The Den at night becomes a throbbing disco with tons of disco lovers dancing and laughing. The atmosphere is said to look like an old Chinese opium den and 1980’s plays well into the night hours. This is big nightlife place and there is also a standard European and Asian menu.

Minders Café
At the Minders Café there is live music on the weekends and a dimly lit atmosphere. It is quite popular in Beijing for the singles crowd and to play darts. Great fun, music and people though finding a seat may be a bit rough. This is a great night of entertainment.

Here and Now Gallery Café
The Here and Now Gallery Cafe on the north side of Gongti Bei Lu is really an art gallery with a bar and live music. This is the place for the younger crowd that is into alternative music, though anyone will appreciate the unique art forms that are throughout the interior.
