Transport - There are many ways to get around
Beijing besides walking or bike riding. Residents
and visitors alike take the two subways in the city.
One is called the Line One and the other is called
the Round Line. They work from 5:30 am to 23:00. Transportation
is also in the form of busses. The bus and trolley
are available every five to ten minutes and run from
5 – 5:30 am to 22:00 or 24:00.
In the
City of Beijing
there are more than 70,000 taxis. It is probably one
of the most convenient ways to get around the city.
Hailing a taxi is rather easy in Beijing. This is the

The taxi drivers, of course, know the area very well
and get you to where you want to go in good time. There
are also tour busses that you can take around the city
and it has stops at all the major attractions. It starts
running at 6:00 am and returns 17:35. This is an ideal
means of transportation if you are planning on seeing
a lot of the sights during the day. You can fit a lot
of attractions in when you use this means of transportation.

if you are brave enough to try and get around the
city on your own. Just make sure you have a map with
